15th International Wheelset Congress

Exhibition name:15th International Wheelset Congress
Organiser:UNIFE
venue:Prague Congress Centre
Detail:
IWC is one of the most important international congresses, attracting professionals from the international railway community – railway operators, equipment manufacturers, components suppliers, universities, governments, regulatory and standardization bodies. The congress provides a forum for presentation of new technologies and developments in design, testing and performance of railway wheelset and related components. The main mission of the congress is to contribute to increasing performance, efficiency and safety in railway transport.

IWC has a long tradition and is organized every three years. The first congress took place in Italy in 1963 and the last one, the 14th IWC, in the USA in 2004.

The Congress in Prague will be the first to be held in a country of the former Eastern block. This city itself is a popular place for holding such important events, because it represents an attractive combination of historic and modern architecture situated in beautiful scenery. It is a very illustrative example of what the present Czech Republic has to offer to its visitors.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite you to take part in the congress. You will be able to personally meet important people from the railway industry, obtain many new and valuable pieces of knowledge and make a lot of informal relationships at various social events.
