There were 17,2 mln tons of oil and 7468 mln cubic meters of gas produced in 2005 or 106% and 115% as compared to the level of 2002. It is expected that a 30 mln level would be achieved by 2008. By 2015 level of oil extraction in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea shall reach 88 mln tons and that of gas 80 bln cubic meters.
