Detail: Expo Green is the first show that presents a complete overview of machinery, equipment and materials for professional gardening, leisure time, equipped parks and gardens and sports. The show is designed to satisfy economic operators and industry professionals as well as the vast public of gardening and outdoor activity enthusiasts. Green Expo began in February 2004 when the idea was thought to organize a mini exhibit showcasing local sustainable companies, in an effort to promote a local straw bale company my husband was working for. It has now transpired into the perfect event to help those with questions and an eagerness to learn all about energy efficient and sustainable products and services. Each year, a new venue has been required to fulfil the growing demand for both exhibitors and visitors to the event. From 22 exhibitors in April 2004 with only six weeks of planning, to 45 exhibitors in 2005 with sponsors and triple the attendance, this event has been and will continue to grow by leaps and bounds. 2006 saw 67 exhibitors and close to 1,500 people attend in the six hours jammed pack with information on everything green and ecologically better for the earth. Each year the event has expanded immensely from the previous year. This year, were expanding on last years close to 70 exhibitors, and again having a large eating area including wine & beer sampling, keynote presenters, a supervised childrens area and door prizes.
