Fruit & Vegetable Asia 2011

Exhibition name:Fruit & Vegetable Asia 2011
Organiser:HQ Link
venue:Singapore Expo Singapore
Detail:
The figures speak for themselves. In 2003, the World Health Organisation highlighted that over USD62 billion and USD144 billion were spent on fruits and vegetables within the Asia Pacific region. By 2005 these figures rose to USD68 billion and USD155 billion respectively.

Growing demand from affluence, greater urbanization, changing eating habits are the reasons for this upward trend. However, improved logistics in delivery of fresher and better quality produce all-year round, has helped fuel this demand even further, in that importing from all over the world, regardless of season, allows consumers continued supply of fruits and vegetables.

And what better example of an Asian market than Singapore. Strategically located in Asia, with excellent transportation, logistics and communication links, its people have seen their variety and quality of fruits and vegetables improve. More importantly, these are available almost throughout the year, regardless of season as imports come from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres, ensuring consistent supply and at competitive prices.

Fruit & Vegetable Asia 2007, to be held in Singapore, aims to be the event to bring together regional industry players with international ones, to showcase and view the produce, the technologies and services available.
