| Detail: According to the Georgian Ministry of Finance, GDP growth will reach 10-11% by the end of 2006. Construction sector s share is really significant. In the first quarter it grew to 25.9%.The Georgian government has drawn up the general principles of trade policy to liberalize foreign trade and improve the investment climate in the country that includes low import duty, simplified procedures for export and import, free trade with partner countries.Foreign trade comprised $1, 661 mln. in January-May 2006, thus exceeded relevant parametres of the last year for 49.9%. Export amounted $388.2 mln. (27.4% growth), import - $1, 272.9 mln. (57.4% growth).
