Detail: This exposition is organized by Canton Universal Fair Group Ltd, co-organized by Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Council, I.V.E.X, and supported by China Green Food Development Centre, Department of Agriculture of Guangdong Province and China Business Association, etc. IFC 2007 focuses on general foods, condiment, beverage & drink, as well as other related services. After China entry into the WTO, the large China market had been opened and the policy of importation encouragement, reduction in tariff and the abolishment of import quota are carrying on. From the end of 2006, tariff on part of goods will be reduced, in which tariff rate of agricultural products will be reduced to 15.2% from 15.3%, and the import quota of bean oil, palm oil and colza oil will be abolished, but instead of 9% of import rate. With the development of economic and growth in the living standard, demand of imported food in China market grew rapidly in recent years. The annual import value of the foodstuff in China reached 36.6 billion USD, and the import value is growing at a rate of 7.6% every year. Different kinds of imported foods can find their market in China. For example, China is the largest wheat imported country in the world, and mainly imported wheat from America, Canada and Australia; imported dairy products are mainly from New Zealand, France, America and Australia while imported fruits are mainly from Thailand, Vietnam and Philippine. What is more, with the rapid development of food industry, we need advanced packing machine and processing machine badly, too.
