Detail: The CGAL Project started in 1996 as a European research project with the founding members Max-Planck Institute for Computer Science, Utrecht University, INRIA, FU Berlin, Tel-Aviv University, and ETH Zurich. In 2003 the project transformed itself into an Open Source project . SIGGRAPH attracts a motivated, focused group of buyers from around the world and from all aspects of this increasingly important technology.
