| Detail: In accordance with the Federal (Russia) Waste Classification Catalogue, natural organic waste includes about 100 kinds of waste emerging in 10 sectors of economic activity (manufacture and consumption) with the 200-250 million tones of total volume annually. The importance of analysis and solution to the problem of natural organic waste management is specified as follows: - there are losses of 25 – 75% of plant and animal raw materials as constituents of natural organic waste in various sectors of economy; - application of natural organic waste management based on cleaner production enables 20-40% waste volume reduction; in this case resulting products are excluded from waste category and qualified as secondary technologic and/or energy resources submitted to related markets; - reduction of raw materials losses increases competitive ability of the products obtained on their basis, and market ploughback of certain manufacturers; - natural organic waste reduction and transformation to secondary resources provide significant improvement in sanitary & epidemiologic public health and reduces development pressure on environment; - application of renewable energy secondary resources reduces the demand for using raw non-renewable resources; this is a very important point of stable development of society, namely carrying out of requirement of Kyoto Protocol. http://wasma.ru/defaulteng.stm |
