The Cape Town Book Fair is a unique platform for the African and international book industry to establish and grow relationships amongst and with the African publishing community.

 At the same time, it is a huge cultural event for the public with more than 300 events taking place in 2007, covering the entire range from readings, book launches, discussions and seminars. Visitors will not only discover the newest releases but will also be able to purchase them at the fair.
South African as well as international exhibitors were unified in their response to the inaugural Cape Town Book Fair 2006. They highlighted the positive climate for business networking and the new channels of communication. During the four days 26.000 general and trade visitors attended the fair, doing business, walking the floor and participating in the more than 300 events and seminars. Given the positive feedback from exhibitors the next fair will be even bigger.

The Cape Town Book Fair 2007 offers a unique platform to establish and grow relationships amongst the African publishing community.

The Cape Town Book Fair is open to members of the book trade as well as the general public. At the same time it functions as a platform for the book industry to do business and to display their newest publications to consumers.
