This category of membership provides an opportunity to individuals who may not wish to pay or who are unable to pay the full fee for regular membership. With the increasing access to the Internet globally, the benefits of WAS membership can be expanded to aquaculture communities with all types of economies. Individuals from developed economies with access to the Internet, but who are unlikely to participate in WAS international conferences, can acquire timely information on the latest developments in aquaculture by simply becoming an e-member. Persons from developing countries facing economic difficulties to attend WAS international conferences but who wish to be in the mainstream of science and technology advancements in aquaculture can now strengthen their knowledge by becoming e-members in the world's largest international aquaculture professional society. E-members can access important information from their home or office computer with a few clicks of the mouse.

Eligibility criteria

The E-membership is available to all persons who have not been an individual or student member of the WAS during the preceding five years. The annual E-membership fee is US$10.
