| Detail: The 16th Europ ART edition sounds marvellously promising and happily confirms the excellent impressions gathered during our 15th anniversary.   Indeed, the public will find a programme that reflects a wide spectrum of local and international artistic news, with many a novelty, even in the much appreciated field of the artistic crafts, on expansion at Europ'ART since the Musée Ariana took part in it (2003).   Apart from the exhibitions which are being organised by art gallery owners, art publishers, associations and groups of artists (a good twenty countries are expected to attend), new intermediaries and institutional guests will be shedding some light upon a specific event related to their activities. There are many, which we are announcing here as each programme comes along, together with the other exhibitions and details which form the whole of the 16th edition.   Following the contemporary art regularly presented at Europ ART by some institutions this time photography will be to the fore: thanks to the Musée de l Elysée (set up in Lausanne in 1985), well-known for its programme of exhibitions at an international scale and for its preservation task (over 100,000 original prints dating from the 19th and 20th centuries are being kept) – but also for its buying policy, turned towards contemporary photographers. http://www.europart.ch |
